Microsoft, based in Redmond, Washington, USA is an American company and the richest company in the world, with the former owner and Co-Founder Bill Gates having a net worth of over 67 Billion US Dollars in the year 2013. The company purchased Rare and its assets from Nintendo in 2002. It is famous for computer technology, the Xbox video game console, and its successors the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Rare still releases games for Nintendo platforms on occasion.
