Lockups are an enemy in Banjo-Kazooie.

Characteristics
Lockup is an enemy found at Treasure Trove Cove in Banjo-Kazooie. He resembles a treasure chest, to match the Pirate theme of the world. He is fairly large and hollow inside and can be jumped into, but only if his lid is opened. His lid is lined with spiky teeth and has a pattern of opening and closing. Banjo needs to do a backflip jump (Hold Z + A) into the chest to find the "treasure". He can only hurt the player by touching them with his teeth. He cannot be defeated or killed and is stationary and does not move.
Lockups are treasure chests encountered throughout Treasure Trove Cove. They stay stationary, not attacking Banjo and Kazooie directly but instead opening and closing their lids. The duo can enter the Lockups with the Flap Flip move, where many items such as Blue Eggs or Red Feathers can be found inside.

A Lockup containing a Jiggy can also be found inside a hole in a wall near the Salty Hippo, accessible by using a Flight Pad atop the ship.
