Jinxy is a recurring character in the Banjo-Kazooie series.
Jinxy is a large sphinx who resides in Gobi's Valley of Banjo-Kazooie. He has a face resembling a bear's.

Biography
Since he is largely immobile, items are placed on top of his back and feet, including Wading Boots on his tail and a Flight Pad on his back. Interestingly, he is capable of speaking, and complains of a stuffed nose when Banjo and Kazooie stand on one of the two cacti in front of him.
Jinxy is a large, stationary sphinx generally found in Gobi's Valley. In his first appearance, Banjo-Kazooie, Jinxy initially complains about how his nose is blocked up, and can be helped by firing Blue Eggs in his nostrills, clearing them. After being aided, he thanks Banjo and Kazooie and opens a passage between his arms that leads to a room containing some Musical Notes, a Mumbo Token, a Jinjo and a Jiggy. A Slappa is also located inside. In his tail, a pair of Wading Boots can be worn and his back contains a Flight Pad.

Jinxy makes a minor appearance in Banjo-Pilot, where he has his own course, Jinxy's Dunes, and is in the background of Gobi's Valley. In Nuts & Bolts, a portrait of Jinxy appears in Banjoland.
The duo can remedy his ailment by firing Blue Eggs into his nostrils, tickling his nose and causing him to sneeze. As thanks, Jinxy will open the small door at his base and allow them inside, where they can find some Musical Notes, a Jinjo, a Mumbo Token, and a Jiggy, as well as an angry Slappa.

Other appearances
In Banjo-Pilot, Jinxy has his own course, Jinxy's Dunes. He appears in the background of the course. In Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, a photo of him appears in Banjoland.
