[[Jamjars]] teaches her how to use them on the [[Isle o' Hags#Plateau|Plateau]] just outside the entrance to [[Glitter Gulch Mine]]. They can be found in nests which shift between different egg types and can be used by tapping {{R}} to select them from the egg line-up.

Fire Eggs deal more damage than normal [[Blue Eggs]] and will set enemies aflame when they hit, but Kazooie can only fire two at a time and can initially hold a maximum of 50 (100 if used the EGGS cheatcode in code chamber in Mayahem Temple). Burning enemies will panic and run around but will not suffer any extra damage. Fire Eggs are useful in activating certain switches, such as the one which activates the door leading from the Plateau to the [[Isle o' Hags#Pine Grove|Pine Grove]], and they can also be used to melt blocks of ice, light up dark areas, or defeat certain enemies quickly (such as [[Bang Box]]es and [[Biggyfoot]]s). Interestingly, they will still burn when fired underwater.

Red Fire Eggs home in on the nearest racer in front of whoever used the item. However, if the racer is in first place, a Red Fire Egg has no effect when used. Racers can avoid Fire Eggs with either a [[Ice Egg|Blue Ice Egg]] or by performing a U-turn when a Red Fire Egg is behind them. Red Fire Eggs are one of the most common items used in the Dogfight mode.

Fire Eggs can also be obtained in the GBA game ''[[Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge]]''. With a slightly different firing mode, constant [[Breegull Blaster]] mode, Fire Eggs still act the same as they did in ''Tooie''. They don't activate that many switches ([[Battery Eggs]] were introduces), but they are needed to destroy certain enemies, such as in the final boss fight ([[Green Spooko]]s can only be killed by them). They are learned from [[Bozzeye]].

Fire Eggs also act as an offensive Item in ''[[Banjo-Pilot]]''. Unlike the standard gun, Fire Eggs (obtained in singles ''and'' triples) home in on enemies and make them crash. They rarely miss, unless your opponent is a master at barrel rolls. They are extremely helpful in [[Dogfight]] battles.
