The black snippet is a stronger snippet that is located in the Treasure Trove Cove sandcastle. Once you spell out the word "BanjoKazooie" using the Beak Bomb. The gate in the back opens and the black snippet walks out. It takes about 3 hits to kill him. Once he's dead you can run into the back where the gate was and grab the jiggy.
