Sput Sputs are the dart-shooting statues found in Mayahem Temple. They start spitting darts at you when you get within range. You can disable it temporarily by shooting an egg between its eyes, but that's usually just a waste, since you shouldn't get hit anyways so long as you keep moving. You'll be espeically safe from them if you Talon Trot.
