The Claw Swipe is a move in Banjo-Kazooie.
The Claw Swipe is the first attack learned from Bottles in Spiral Mountain in Banjo-Kazooie. It can be used simply by pressing the B button either while stationary or moving slowly. When used, Banjo swipes at enemies with his claws and takes a couple of steps forward. Because of its very low power, slow execution time, and overall impracticality when fighting moving enemies, this attack is rarely used by players, although its simplicity makes it a good practice move for beginners to fight weaker enemies.

Overview
In Banjo-Tooie, this move is replaced by Kazooie's Peck attack, most likely so that Banjo could learn a new attack to fight on his own.
Banjo-Kazooie
Claw Swipe is the first ability that Banjo learns from Bottles in Banjo-Kazooie. It is taught in Spiral Mountain, when Banjo fights a Topper. It can be used by simply pressing N64 while either idle or by moving slowly. When used, Banjo swipes his claws and takes a couple of steps forward. The Claw Swipe is optional to use, and is one of the weakest of the game.

Claw Swipe is one of the only abilities that does not appear in Banjo-Tooie. It was replaced with Kazooie's Peck attack, or Pack Whack if Banjo and Kazooie are separated.
