Jolly Roger debuted in ''Banjo-Tooie'', acting as the mayor of Jolly Roger's Lagoon and owner of a tavern in the seaside town. When first encountered, he is sad due to the fact that his partner, [[Merry Maggie Malpass]], has recently gone missing. When she is rescued from the [[Big Fish]], Jolly rewards [[Banjo]] and [[Kazooie]] with a Jiggy.  

While talking with Jolly Roger afterwards will only result in him thanking the duo for their help, interacting with [[Jolly's Jukebox]] will result in him telling Banjo and Kazooie it's broken. To fix the machine, the two must collect all 25 [[Cheato Page]]s and return them to [[Cheato]], who will then reward the duo with the cheat code JUKEBOX and input it in the [[Code Room]]. Jolly will dance in the counter when the Jukebox is playing.

In ''[[Banjo-Pilot]]'', Jolly Roger is a playable character, being unlocked by completing [[Pumpkin Cup]] and giving 100 [[Cheato Page]]s to [[Cheato]]. He has low top speed but high handling and acceleration. Jolly Roger is the boss of Pumpkin Cup, being fought at the end in the match "Jolly Roger Joust". During the battle, when Jolly Roger is flying in front, he shoots behind cannonball that work like [[Ice Egg|Single Blue Ice Egg]]s.

In [[L.O.G.'s Lost Challenges]], Jolly plays "The Deep Double Agent". His challenge is to stay inside the Crown Corona for a certain amount of time.
