Jamjars is a supporting character in the Banjo-Kazooie series, making his debut in Banjo-Tooie. He is a very assertive drill seargent, contrary to his brother, Bottles.
Jamjars is a mole and the brother of Bottles. Unlike his brother, Jamjars is an assertive drill sergeant. He is one of the main supporting characters in Banjo-Tooie, where he takes over Bottles' role of teaching moves to Banjo and Kazooie, both together and separately.

In Banjo-Tooie, Jamjars can be first encountered in one of his silos in the Mayahem Temple (although many items prior to that world would be explained by him when collected). After hearing about his brother's recent death, he offers to teach Banjo and Kazooie new moves in his place. Unlike Bottles, however, Jamjars charges the duo Musical Notes before teaching them his "advanced techniques." When enough Notes are collected, Jamjars will briefly dance and rhyme to a tune in order to teach the bear and bird the moves. Afterwards, he will jump back in the silo (whose light will now be green). If N64 is pressed next to a green-lighted silo, Jamjars will quickly recapitulate how to use the move learned in it. Similarly to Bottles, if Banjo's health is low when learning a move, Jamjars will provide "rations" to instantly refill his health bar. If Mumbo Jumbo tries to interact with him, Jamjars will say he "only teaches moves to bears and birds" and call him "a freak."

In Banjo-Tooie, Jamjars is found in silos that are located around the Isle o' Hags and its levels. Jamjars can first be encountered at Mayahem Temple, where he learns of Bottles's from Banjo and Kazooie. As such, Jamjars agrees to help the duo on their adventure by teaching them moves along the way. Whenever Banjo and Kazooie collect a type of item the first time, even before meeting Jamjars, he explains the item and its purpose to them. Furthermore, Jamjars allows Banjo and Kazooie to use his network of Warp Silos to quickly travel between areas.

Occasionally, when Jamjars teaches a move and opens the silo to leave, the hatch will close earlier, what causes him to hit his head. He will then retries to enter it, but opens it once again to grab his hat.
Unlike Bottles, Jamjars charges the duo Musical Notes before teaching his "advanced techniques" to them. Whenever Jamjars teaches a move, he marches to a military theme, and he rhymes as he explains the move to Banjo and Kazooie. After this, Jamjars yells "Dismissed!" and jumps back into the silo, which has its light change to green. Occasionally, after Jamjars teaches a move and opens the silo to leave, the hatch closes before before Jamjars can enter, causing him to hit his head. Jamjars crawls back into the silo and opens it once more to grab his hat. If the player presses N64 while Banjo and Kazooie stand next to a green-lighted silo, Jamjars quickly recapitulates how to use the move that the duo learned at that Silo.

In the multyplayer shooting minigames, Jamjars is a playable character. He has eight Honeycombs and, while being the second slowest character (with the first one being Gruntilda), is still a small target, making it hard to land a hit on him.
Similar to Bottles, if Banjo or Kazooie's health bar is low while they learn a move from Jamjars, he provides "rations" to instantly refill it. If Mumbo Jumbo tries to interact with Jamjars, he tells him that he "only teaches moves to bears and birds" and calls Mumbo a "freak".

Oftentimes, when Banjo and Kazooie read a signpost or if they try and enter an off-limits area, Jamjars talks to them (as shown from his speech icon), although without being physically present. Jamjars' head icon also represents the Miscellaneous section of the jukebox in the bar, Jolly's.

In the ending, Jamjars arrives at the party at Bottles' House, expecting to have a party, only to find that Klungo had eaten all the food. He then goes to Cauldron Keep with his friends to play a game of kickball using Grunty's head.
