Also like Uggers, they appear throughout the Isle O' Hags hub world. They appear to be flying reptiles that patrol the areas in the sky and shortly above the ground. They are a mottled brown, which can blend in somewhat in certain areas. At [[Cliff Top]], there is a lonely Gruntydactyl under the cliff, visible primarily in the establishing shot. Behaviorally, they act similar to [[Buzzbomb]] and [[Scabby]] from ''[[Banjo-Kazooie]]''.
 A flying creature similar to the Gruntydactyl, called [[Soarasaurus]], can be found in [[Terrydactyland]].
