Captain Blackeye is a large human pirate who sits in the backroom of Jolly Roger's Tavern in Jolly Roger's Lagoon and he drinks perpetually. Captain Blackeye rants continuously about how a bear who looked just like Banjo (or so he believes) stole his glory. Captain Blackeye served as the main antagonist of Dream: Land of Giants that was redeveloped into Banjo-Kazooie.
Captain Blackeye is a large human pirate who sits in the back of the tavern Jolly's of Jolly Roger's Lagoon in Banjo-Tooie. Prior to this appearance, Captain Blackeye was planned as the main antagonist of the cancelled game, Dream: Land of Giants, which was redeveloped into Banjo-Kazooie.

A portrait of Captain Blackeye's head appears in Mad Monster Mansion of Banjo-Kazooie. It used artwork from Dream.
Captain Blackeye is a perpetual drinker with depression, which is strongly implied to be because Dream was never released. Captain Blackeye has a minor role in the game. If Banjo talks to Captain Blackeye three times, he threatens to attack him and Kazooie. On the fourth attempt, he tries to attack them (as implied by his dialogue). However, Blackeye is too seasick, as shown from his green face, and falls on his back. Instead, he gives Banjo and Kazooie two Doubloons to fetch him a glass of water. Captain Blackeye then faints, but can still be interacted with as he spouts off his remarks.

His purpose in Banjo-Tooie is minor. If the player talks to him three times, he will threaten to attack Banjo and Kazooie if they do it again. On the fourth attempt, he will try to attack the duo (as implied by his dialogue). Blackeye is too seasick (as hinted with his green face) and falls over on his back, so instead, he gives Banjo and Kazooie two Doubloons to fetch him a glass of water. However, he then faints and can still be talked to as he spouts off his remarks.
In Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Captain Blackeye makes a cameo on the Boot in a Box weapon. His picture is on a wanted poster, and there is a shop called "Blackeye's Boat Hire" near the LOGBOX 720 doors.

If Banjo talks to Captain Blackeye enough, he says one of three quotes, which reference how he was originally the main antagonist of Dream: Land of Giants:
