It can first be accessed by opening the [[Talon Torpedo Door]] (the [[Talon Torpedo]] ability must first be learned in [[Jolly Roger's Lagoon]]) in the pool of water in [[Pine Grove]]. (The second battle with [[Klungo]] occurs between the two areas the first time it is accessed.) Wasteland contains entrances to two worlds, [[Terrydactyland]] and [[Cloud Cuckooland]]. | |

| The area features a large dinosaur head-shaped boulder which serves as the entrance to Terrydactyland, and a small crevice in the wall to the left of the Terrydactyland entrance which serves as the entrance to Cloud Cuckooland. On the opposite side of the silo from Terrydactyland, there are some platforms that lead up to what looks like two [[Jinjo]]s. One is a real Jinjo, and the other is a [[Minjo]]. Finally, the digger tunnel to [[Quagmire]] is located on the far end of the area with respect to the digger tunnel from Pine Grove; it can be accessed only after learning how to use [[Springy Step Shoes]] in [[Terrydactyland]].
