A Train Station is any location in a world in Banjo-Tooie where Chuffy can drive to and from. In order to get Chuffy to the station, Banjo must press the Train Switch, usually located near the station itself. Every world in Banjo-Tooie has a station, except Mayahem Temple, Jolly Roger's Lagoon, Cloud Cuckooland, Spiral Mountain and Cauldron Keep. Chuffy must be put back into action by Mumbo levitating Chuffy and placing him on his wheels, as well as defeating Old King Coal in the station of Glitter Gulch Mine. The station in Witchyworld is located through a tunnel in the Horror Land, one is found as the Cliff Top in Isle O' Hags, in Terrydactyland, the station is found in a cave near the Oogle Boogle Cave. The station is imperative to Grunty Industries because the inside cannot be accessed without using Chuffy to get inside. There are two train stations in Hailfire Peaks. The one the Fire Side is found in the highest temple on the volcano. The one on the Ice Side is inaccessible through any means, except from another train station as well as Gobi cooling down Chuffy's Boiler.

Train tracks can be seen in the Quagmire area of Isle o' Hags, but Chuffy cannot go there.

You cannot walk into the tunnel that Chuffy travels through. If you attempt to, Jamjars will say, "I wouldn't go in there if I were you! There are bad things in there..." Exactly what these "bad things" are is unexplained. It's assumed that the sheer amount of memory necessary to render the tracks that connect to every world is unnecessary, so the warning is used instead, as well as a possible reference to Looney Tunes and similar cartoons in which a character who enters a tunnel with tracks often gets run over.
