Romanization capitalization/spacing standards?
Since existing pages seem to vary on the matter, are there any established standards for whether the rōmaji spelling of a Japanese name should be capitalized word-by-word (excluding particles) or just at the start? And would that vary depending on the subject of the article (character/location/move/etc.)?

And on an only-semi-related note, is there a standard for whether lexical units formed through reduplication should be listed as one or two words? (For instance, 「クルクル」 is written "Kurukuru" on Spiral Mountain's page, while 「サビサビ」 is written "Sabi Sabi" on Rusty Bucket Bay's.) --Zeal
:I'm not an expert on this, but do you think they should be capitalized or not? Results May Vary (talk) 05:06, March 13, 2022 (UTC)
::I wasn't sure, but looking elsewhere for advice, it seems both Wikipedia and the Mario Wiki recommend capitalizing each word of proper nouns and titles as you would in English, which all these categories fall into in general. So I guess that first question can be deferred until a page that doesn't fall into that comes up, if that ever happens. ^^;

::As for the latter, there's no set standard, really. Wikipedia proper seems to vary between both options, but Wiktionary largely seems to prefer using a single compound word in general. (which admittedly is my personal preference, too, but ^^;)

::also so sorry for clogging up the recent changes with this aaaa --Zeal (talk) 05:35, March 13, 2022 (UTC)
:::You are doing a great job, no need to worry about clogging the recent changes with your helpful edits. :) Also, if both Wikipedia and Mario Wiki advise that method, I'd go with that then. Results May Vary (talk) 05:40, March 13, 2022 (UTC)
