In ''[[Banjo-Kazooie]]'', Nabnut gluttonous red squirrel who lives in his [[Squirrel's House|own home]] in the [[Click Clock Wood Tree]] of [[Click Clock Wood]]. Like other characters in the world, Nabnut's role is different for each season. Regardless of the season, [[Banjo]] and [[Kazooie]] can always find Nabnut inside of his [[Squirrel's House|home]].


In spring, Nabnut is seen eating a pile of [[acorn]]s. In summer, Nabnut has become entirely bloated from eating too many acorns during spring, and can hardly move. In autumn, Nabnut realizes his mistake of eating his entire supply of acorns during spring, and asks Banjo and Kazooie to find six more acorns. After doing so, the duo receive a [[Jiggy]] from Nabnut. In winter, Nabnut is found sleeping in bed with his wife, [[Mrs. Nabnut]].
[[Banjo]] and [[Kazooie]] first encounter him inside his house during spring where he can be found gobbling up a pile of acorns which he had previously set aside for winter.

In ''[[Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts]]'', Nabnut is mentioned in the [[Jiggosseum]]'s scoreboard (being referred to as "'Good Wood' Nabnut") where, in the "Golf" category, it is stated that he scored 5 points in the "Frustrating Weekend Hobby Cup Round 2."

By autumn he's realized the mistake he made by eating his winter nut storage and asks for the bear and bird's assistance in collecting several more acorns from the area around his house, after which he rewards the pair with a [[Jiggy]].
