Wading Boots

Wading Boots[1][2][3][4] are a recurring item in the Banjo-Kazooie series.

Location and usesEdit

Wading Boots are green boots that, with the Stilt Stride move, can be temporarily worn by Kazooie, allowing her and Banjo to walk above hazards in the ground.

Banjo-KazooieEdit

In Banjo-Kazooie, Wading Boots first appear in Bubblegloop Swamp. When worn, they slow down Banjo and Kazooie and lower their jump height, automatically disappearing after a certain ammount of time. Pressing   will do that earlier, however.

Banjo-TooieEdit

In Banjo-Tooie, Wading Boots are used the same way as they did in the previous game. However, Banjo and Kazooie's speed while wearing them is no longer changed.

Other appearancesEdit

In Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise, piñatas can wear the "Breegull Waders."

Profiles and statisticsEdit

Banjo-Kazooie seriesEdit

  • Banjo-Kazooie manual description: "Bottles will be waiting nearby to explain the use of the Wading Boots, which are only found in the worlds featuiring terrain dangerous to Banjo and Kazooie. They'll protect the Breegull's long legs from harm—just make sure you're on safe ground when the effect wears off!"
  • Banjo-Tooie manual description: "The stout rubber boots come with a time-limited guarantee to protect breegull legs from harm on dangerous terrain. Just be sure she's back on safe ground when the guarantee expires."

Viva Piñata: Trouble in ParadiseEdit

  • Breegull Waders description: "The original stop swamp monsters from chomping your legs and feet. Again, these are just replicas, which is a good thing as the originals would disappear within a few moments of putting them on, usually giving the wearer just enough time to navigate a well-thought-out and cleverly positioned mass of swamp. Cocoadiles wearing this become master gardeners."
