Trunker is a turban-wearing coconut tree who appears in Gobi's Valley on a small island next to the world's starting point; the entrance to Gobi's Valley from Gruntilda's Lair is shaped just like Trunker. Trunker tells Banjo and Kazooie that he is very thirsty. Kazooie is unsympathetic (asking "How's your nuts, bark breath?" and earning a scolding from Banjo), but Banjo offers the duo's feathers and eggs to aid the tree. However, Trunker tells him that only water can help.

After Banjo and Kazooie find Gobi the camel and free him, Gobi runs to Trunker's island to lie in the tree's shade. He comments that Trunker looks dry but that he, Gobi, needs all his water for himself. However, Gobi can be forced to give up his water if Banjo and Kazooie use the Beak Buster on Gobi's back: the camel then spits his stash of water onto Trunker. Gobi runs away complaining, but Trunker grows and reveals a Jiggy on his head. Banjo and Kazooie can reach this Jiggy most easily by climbing the nearest palm tree and using the Feathery Flap to reach Trunker's top. The Jiggy can also be reached by flying.
