'''Topper''' is a [[wikipedia:Carrot|carrot]] who is one of [[Vegetables|four training enemies]] found on [[Spiral Mountain]] in ''[[Banjo-Kazooie]]''. His main purpose is to aid [[Bottles]] in teaching [[Banjo]] the [[Claw Swipe]] ability. He is tall and orange with green leaves on his head. The one in the training area just hops in place waiting to be attacked and gives no damage when touched, but all of the other Toppers in [[Spiral Mountain]] will slowly hop towards [[Banjo]] and do damage.

Topper, as well as [[Colliwobble]], [[Bawl]] and [[Quarrie]] (the other tutorial enemies), were all arrested by the "rubbish video game character police" for no longer having purpose in the ''Banjo-Kazooie ''​games, according to [[Rare]]. He reappears in ''[[Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts]]'' as a Fetch Item. A Jinjo says he dropped a carrot in the water on [[Jiggoseum]]'s Act 4 and tells Banjo to retrieve it.
Toppers are bouncing, eyed {{wp|carrot}}s appearing as enemies on [[Spiral Mountain]] in ''[[Banjo-Kazooie]]''. Initially, one appears for [[Bottles]] to teach the [[Claw Swipe]] ability to [[Banjo]]. This one just hops in place, waiting to be attacked, and bounces Banjo backwards with no damage when touched. After all of the initial attack moves are learned, Toppers begin to appear elsewhere in Spiral Mountain, along with [[Bawl]]s and a [[Colliwobble]]. Unlike the first Topper, these Toppers slowly hop towards Banjo and deal damage upon contact. A single Topper appears in the ending sequence as Banjo and [[Kazooie]] leave [[Grunty's Lair]], and is defeated by Banjo after Kazooie points it out. Topper's name is a possible reference to {{wp|Carrot Top}}. Kazooie calls a Topper "carrot guy" in the cutscene after completing [[Grunty's Furnace Fun]].


A Topper appears as a fetch item in ''[[Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts]]''. A Jinjo says he dropped a carrot in the water on [[Jiggosseum]]'s Act 4 and asks Banjo to retrieve it.
