The Terrarium of Terror is a location in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts.

Features and overview

The Terrarium of Terror is the fifth Game World of Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. It is a large terrarium floating in outer space, made up of interconnecting tubes and chambers filled with many overgrown plants.

ACT 1

Need for Seed

  • Klungo's discovered a rare and delicate floatberry fruit seed that he wants to plant. You'll need a vehicle to carry the seed and some way of keeping it moist along the way.

Bear's Eye View

  • L.O.G.'s Choice
  • Game Host: Humba Wumba
  • The researchers need to send a volunteer up to a vantage point to check out the surroundings. That volunteer is you. Find a vehicle capable of taking you high.

Jinjo Challenges

Jinjo Combat

  • Jinjo Combat: Indulge the Jinjo in a one-on-one sumo-style battle. The aim being to push your opponent out of the area before you're pushed out yourself.

Jinjo Speed

  • Jinjo Speed: This demanding Jinjo wants to see you achieve a certain speed, so hit the accelerator and try to reach the target on your speedometer.

Flashy Fly-Off

  • Cap'n Flash McBlubber wants to prove his piloting ability over a land- and air-based race. If you don't have any vehicles equipped for both, maybe you can find some along the way.

Berry Ripe Indeed

  • The floatberry fruits require ripening. Fortunately all they need is some water, so bring a vehicle capable of reaching the fruits and getting them into contact with water.

The Saucer of Peril Returns

  • L.O.G.'s Choice
  • Game Host: Boggy
  • An old favorite, or a blatant rehash? Regardless, you'll be climbing on board the trusty Saucer of Peril to blast some planets to pieces. Different colors are worth different scores.

Great Balls of Gas

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Boggy
  • A toxic fungus is poisoning the atmosphere and must be taken up high before it implodes. It gets heavier as it rises, so you'll need a powerful lifting or carrying vehicle.

Intergalactic Binman

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Humba Wumba
  • Grunty has dumped a load of 1980s space junk in the terrarium. Gather up this rubbish with a pushing or carrying vehicle and throw it in the airlock to get rid of it.

Germ Warfare

  • Game Host: Pikelet
  • Grunty has lured odd-looking germs from the Dhogzit system into the terrarium. Take to the air and blast them out of existence before they spread all manner of unpleasant diseases.

Taxi of Terror

  • Pick up the researchers and take them to their areas of research interest. A vehicle with lots of passenger seats will be required to ferry this bunch of misfits.

Jinjo Race

  • Jinjo Race: The Jinjo gets to choose the racetrack and number of laps, but try to reach the finish line first anyway. This Jinjo is aquatic, so I suggest a vehicle that does well in water.

Jinjo Taxi

  • Game Host: Green Jinjo
  • Jinjo Taxi: This Jinjo needs to reach a new destination within a time limit. The Gruntbots have stolen the taxi's engine, so you'll have to roll there without any power.

ACT 3

Jiggy Challenges

Time for a Cuppa

  • Game Host: Jolly Dodger
  • It's snack time in the terrarium, with tea and biscuits to be delivered. Each researcher only needs one item, but this will still require a vehicle capable of carrying many objects.

Super Sally

  • L.O.G.'s Choice
  • Game Host: Captain Blubber
  • Flash has taken delivery of Sally, a top of the range moon buggy. He's been sampling the Floatberry juice, so a test driver must complete a time trial course to ensure Sally runs smoothly.

Hovering Harvest

  • The Floatberries are finally ripe, so now they must be gathered. The fruit floats high above the collector, so you'll need a flying vehicle capable of pushing or pulling it down.

Flower Power Shower

  • The mysterious flower at the top of the terrarium is about to spew out Gruntbot trouble. Load up a vehicle with all your weapons and ammo, and blast them out of the sky!

Family Misfortunes

  • A member of B-066Y's so-called family is stranded far from the cooling waters deep beneath the plant. To reunite them you'll need a casket-carrying vehicle capable of going underwater.

  • Jinjo Race: The Jinjo gets to choose the racetrack and number of laps, but try to reach the finish line first anyway. This is a land-based race.

Jinjo Fetch

  • Jinjo Fetch: These creatures can be remarkably clumsy. Listen to the tale of woe then set out to find and retrieve the misplaced item. I'd recommend a vehicle that can take to the air this time.

Jinjo Hurling

  • Game Host: Orange Jinjo
  • Jinjo Hurling: For whatever reason, this Jinjo wishes to be propelled as far as possible. You can oblige with a forceful collision.

ACT 4

Space Bandits Ahoy!

  • The galaxy-plundering space pirates have invaded! Round up these spherical brigands with a herding or carrying vehicle, them expel them through the airlock.

Uranus Mud Monsters

  • Player's Choice
  • Game Host: Klungo
  • The affable Mud Monsters have strayed into the water they hate so much. You'll need a land- and water-based pushing or carrying vehicle to help them back onto dry land.

To Boldy Go... Anywhere

  • The ultimate racing triathlon requires a vehicle capable of running on land, water and in the air. You'll need to get your creative building hat on if you want to win this one.

No-Armed Bandits

  • The unconvincing space pirates are back, and there's going to be trouble. Trouble for them, that is, once you arm up a vehicle with weapons and ammo and blow them to pieces!
