The Taxi Pack is an ability which Banjo learns from Jamjars in Terrydactyland inside the waterfall cave. Without Kazooie taking up space in the backpack, there's more room for Banjo to carry larger objects such as batteries, and that's exactly what the Taxi Pack allows him to do. Hold Z and press C-left to hold the backpack, and then while still holding Z press B to pick objects up. Banjo can still move, jump, and attack while carrying something, but he must drop it by holding Z and pressing C-left again in order to rejoin with Kazooie.

Banjo can only use Taxi Pack while Split-Up from Kazooie. Jamjars teaches it to him Terrydactyland, behind the waterfall, if at least 405 Musical Notes have been obtained. It allows Banjo to pick objects and characters to store them in his backpack, and is performed by holding N64, then pressing N64 to open the pack and finally pressing N64 to pick the the thing up.
