Portrait Chompa is an enemy found at Mad Monster Mansion in Banjo-Kazooie. There is only three of him in the whole game located inside the front window of the mansion of the world (Near the entrance portal) and another two at the large window at the top. He is another version of the Grille Chompa and Big Clucker. He is a large monster that hides in behind a painting/portrait and pops out his head to attack when Banjo draws close. A Rat-a-tap-tap will finish him off in one go.
Portrait Chompa is skeletal fish-like creature found in only three instances in Mad Monster Mansion. It hides in holes in the wall covered by hanging pictures and behaves similarly to the Grille Chompa and Big Clucker, waiting until Banjo gets close and then bursting through painting, lunging at the bear several times before retreating back. Chompa paintings are impossible to distinguish from the mansion's many other hanging pictures at a distance, but these enemies are given away by a characteristic growl just before Banjo comes within biting distance. Unlike Limbos, these skeletons will not regenerate and can be taken down easily with a single hit from the Rat-a-tat Rap.
