Mr. Fit, Banjo-Tooie

Mr. Fit is a gray aardvark and a supporting character in the Banjo-Kazooie series. He is a parody of Mr. Motivator, a Jamaican-born British fitness instructor.[1]

History

Banjo-Tooie

In Banjo-Tooie, Mr. Fit can be encountered in Cloud Cuckooland, where he challenges Banjo and Kazooie to the "Cuckoo Olympics"[2], a collection of three events and says that, if they win, he will give them his "fitness gold medal." The first challenge is to jump over Mr. Fit's best score in a a tall bar, which can be done by using the Springy Step Shoes.

In the event 2, Mr. Fit challenges the duo to sack race over a "thorny course." To win it, Banjo needs to Split-Up and use the Sack Pack. While the easiest way to reach the finish line first is to take the shortcut, winning through the main path is still possible.

In the third and last event, Mr. Fit challenges the two to a footrace. Due to his great speed, Kazooie needs to Split-Up and wear the Turbo Trainers in order to win (although using the SUPERBANJO cheat code is also possible). After reaching the finish before him, Mr. Fit will claim he "can't believe [he] was beaten by a bag of feathers" and give the duo his medal. After that, he says he will go to the gym to train for the next season.

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

In Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Mr. Fit reappears with a much bigger role than previously, hosting challenges in various worlds. In Showdown Town, he can be found running through the city in a set path. In the instances that he stops, Mr. Fit will offer the duo a Trapdoor Tower combination in order to get enough money to "buy new sneakers."

In Nutty Acres, Mr. Fit acts as "The Other Farmhand," a mechanic at the farm, and hosts challenges in Acts 4, 5 and 6. In the first one, he asks the duo to escort him while he jogs around the island. The second one involves him challenging Banjo and Kazooie in a game where the one who collects more coconuts wins. In his final challenge, Mr. Fit hosts a race underwater against all of the farm's staff.

In Banjoland, Mr. Fit plays "The Meet 'N' Greeter," hosting challenges in Acts 2, 3, 5 and 6. In the first one, he challenges the two to a game where they have to kick soccer balls into a goal. In the second one, he asks for them to turn on the security cameras due to the fact Klungo forgot to do that when leaving. In the third one, he requests that Banjo and Kazooie drive the L.O.G. Gobi around the museum. In his final challenge, he asks for the bear and bird to play a round of "sheep golf" to remove an Inflatable Sheep that strayed into Banjoland.

In Jiggoseum, Mr. Fit takes the role of "The Perky Challenger," hosting challenges in Acts 1 and 3. In the first one, he challenges the duo to a "long jump challenge." Later, he asks them to shoot basketballs through a hoop.

In the L.O.G.'s Lost Challenges DLC, Mr. Fit portrays "The High-Tech Infiltrator," where his only challenge is a game where Banjo and Kazooie need to get a basketball through various hoops in order to beat his high score.
