“For blasting things these eggs were made, don't stand close when you fire a grenade!”
Jamjars, Banjo-Tooie

Grenade Eggs are explosive green eggs that first appear in Banjo-Tooie.

Appearances

Banjo-Tooie

In Banjo-Tooie, Jamjars teaches Kazooie to use Grenade Eggs in Pine Grove for 110 Musical Notes. When Kazooie fires a Grenade Egg, it explodes upon impact. Grenade Eggs can defeat most enemies including stronger ones such as Sput Sput and Fruity, even from the resulting blast. Grenade Eggs can also destroy rock barriers and breakable walls. Banjo and Kazooie must avoid using the Grenade Eggs in close range, else the resulting explosion damages and sends them flying backward. Kazooie can only fire one Grenade Egg at a time, unlike Blue Eggs where three can be fired in succession. The duo can carry up to 25 Grenade Eggs, although the "EGGS" cheat doubles the maximum to 50.

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

In Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Grenade Eggs can be fired from the Grenade Gun and Grenade Turret vehicle parts.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Grenade Eggs are used in Banjo and Kazooie's down special, Rear Egg. They bounce slowly along the ground before exploding after a few seconds, and can be picked up and thrown.
