In Banjo-Pilot, the Gold Feather is an item that can be obtained by racers in 7th or 8th place. Like the Super Stars from the Mario Kart series, the Golden Feather grants temporary invincibility to the racer. It also provides a slight speed boost and knocks out any other racer attempting to crash into the player.

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Golden Feathers are once again used to perform the Wonderwing. At the beginning of a normal match, Banjo and Kazooie start with five Golden Feathers, indicated above their head when the match begins, although in Stamina Mode they begin with a variable amount based on the starting health of the player, and in Sudden Death they only have one. When the duo begin the Wonderwing, their count of Golden Feathers appears above their head, and one feather flies away (similarly to how they fly off in the original games) if they successfully execute the move. When all five Golden Feathers are used, the Wonderwing cannot be used until Banjo and Kazooie get KOed, which will respawn them with the amount they had at the start of the match.
