Feathery Flap is a basic jumping ability learned on Spiral Mountain. Press A while in the air and Kazooie will flap her wings, giving the pair a slight upward boost and extending the reach of their jump. A can be held down to keep Kazooie flapping and slow their descent, but she cannot flap indefinitely as long as she carries Banjo's weight. In Banjo-Tooie, while Split-up, Kazooie can keep flapping her wings as long as the A button is held.

The Feathery Flap is a recurring move in the Banjo-Kazooie series.

Feathery Flap is initially learned on Spiral Mountain in Banjo-Kazooie. Press N64 while in the air and Kazooie will flap her wings, giving the bear and bird a slight upward boost and extending the reach of their jump. N64 can also be held down to keep Kazooie flapping and slow their descent, but she can only flap for a few seconds if she is carrying Banjo's extra weight (alone, she can flap indefinitely). Slowing the descent prevents fall damage as long as Banjo doesn't enter his falling animation. The same ability is seen in Banjo-Tooie. Additionally, in Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge, Feathery Flap must be relearned from Bozzeye on Breegull Beach for 110 Musical Notes. Simply press GBA after jumping to flap and boost the range of the pair's jump.
Feathery Flap is also an ability learned on Breegull Beach in Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge. Press Agameboy while in the air and Kazooie will flap her wings, giving the pair a slight upward boost and extending the reach of their jump. Agameboy can be held down to keep Kazooie flapping and slow their descent, but she cannot flap indefinitely as long as she carries Banjo's weight. Banjo and Kazooie learn this move from Bozzeye at the cost of 110 Musical Notes.

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the Feathery Flap appears as the duo's double jump.
