Bleater, Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge

The Bleaters are sheep who live on Cliff Farm in Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge, and are involved with two different Jiggies. Their name comes from the word "Bleat", which is the sound that a sheep or goat makes.

The Bleaters talk in farm-based puns, much like Bovina does in Banjo-Tooie. Specifically the Bleaters have a tendency to incorporate the phrase "Baaa" into most of their sentences.

Games

Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge

Once Banjo approaches the large flock of Bleaters in Cliff Farm, one of them woefully tells him that Grunty's minions have overrun the farm, and now they no longer feel safe bathing alone. In the mini-game that they are involved in, Sheep Dip, Banjo must reel in the Bleaters in from a muddy pond and put them into tubs of clean water. Banjo must reel in twelve Bleaters in order to win their Jiggy.

Four Bleaters were also trapped in a small enclosure where a Gruntweed was trying to "play" with them. Banjo tires to tell it that they are scared and do not want to play, but the Gruntweed stubbornly refuses to free them and insists on fighting Banjo. The four sheep reward Banjo with another Jiggy once he defeats it.

Banjo-Pilot

The Bleaters make a small cameo in this game. Two Bleaters, along with other characters from Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge, appear during the award ceremony after each cup.

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

“Nice one, Banjo! You've obviously had some experience in chasing sheep. That should be enough for now!”
Bottles, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts

Bottles makes what appears to be a vague reference to the Bleaters' minigame, Sheep Dip. Upon the completion of the mission "Canned and Panned" (which involves transporting spherical inflatable sheep from one part of Banjoland to another) Bottles says that it is clear that Banjo already had practiced herding sheep, a possible reference to Sheep Dip. However, if the duo get a T.T. Trophy for completing the challenge, Bottles' dialogue is different and makes no mention of the Bleaters minigame.
