In ''[[Banjo-Tooie]]'', the Golden Goliath can be found in the Mayahem Temple, near the [[Mayan Kickball Tournament]]. It is initially dormant, buried into the ground with the only body part visible being his head. However, he can be awakened with [[Mumbo Jumbo]]'s Summon [[spell]], granting control over the statue for seventy-five seconds. While being controlled, the Golden Goliath can perform a powerful kick that is capable of destroying [[Sput Sput]]s and large boulders and open or break a hole in stone doors with the shaman's face in them, making them accessible for [[Banjo]] and [[Kazooie]]. He can also do a short jump that is mostly used to simply get through small stair steps near the world's entrance and exit. Many enemies, such as the [[Moggie]]s, will run away from the Golden Goliath when he gets near them. When the time limit is up, he will lose his energy and go back to where he was first found. Mumbo can still use the [[Mumbo Pad]] next to the statue to summon him again, however.
